Australia GP, Saturday. Max Biaggi will start from the first row: only 13 thousandths kept him from is first superpole of the season. 26/02/2011

Phillip Island (Australia), 26 February 2011 – The number 1 on his fairing was honoured by World Champion Max Biaggi, riding among the top players on the Australian track at Phillip Island in Superpole. In the first two races for the 2011 WSBK season the Corsair will start from the second spot on the grid after ending just 13 thousandths of a second behind Carlos Checa's fastest time.
The Superpole clock saw Max come through the first two sessions easily, with determination and without any uncertainty.
In the third session the battle of the top eight was conducted in the best way possible by the Team Aprilia Alitalia rider. After ten tense and fascinating minutes the clock stopped for Max at 1'30.895, second best lap at only 13 thousandths behind Checa (Ducati) and in front of Guintoli (Ducati) and Haslam (BMW).

Australia GP, friday. A lot of work for Max Biaggi, Camier falls behind hindered by a bothersome flu. 25/02/2011

Phillip Island (Australia), 25 February 2011 – With the first day of practice (free and timed) on the Australian track at Phillip Island, the 2011 World SBK got underway. The Italian team had their first satisfaction of the season watching Max Biaggi take the track with the World Champion No. 1 on his Aprilia RSV4.

PRE SEASON INTERVIEW WITH MAX, LEON AND GIGI DALL'LGNA 25/02/2011

Twice World Champions: the Aprilia Alitalia Racing Team takes on the 2011 Superbike championship season picking up where they left off with the double triumph from last season and two titles to defend.

Phillip Island, Australia, 24 February 2011 - For the Aprilia Alitalia team last season was one of triumph and records: Max Biaggi was the first Italian in history to earn the World SBK Championship wreath and the Aprilia RSV4 brought the Manufacturer Championship home to Noale.

The Italian team's structure has remained unchanged: the five times World Champion Max Biaggi and Englishman Leon Camier will ride the RSV4 for the forthcoming season with Gigi dall'Igna in a dual role of Technical and Sports Director.  Francesco Guidotti is the Teams Manager; head technician for Max Biaggi is Giovanni Sandi, while Emanuele Martinelli coordinates the activities of Camier's team.
