2007 SEASON

For the first season in 10 years saw us with no plans in place for 2007 until Danny's parents Martin and Tracey contacted us and asked us to build and engine for the start of the new season, I told martin “Yes I would on 1 condition”, to stop all the reliability issues they had the previous season, that condition was that he was not to fiddle with it and leave all the maintenance to us, and he agreed (with gritted teeth).

As I wanted to see Danny get some consistent racing and results I built a engine with reliability in mind so it was only producing around 31bhp at the rear wheel, another reason for this is that I knew I would not be attending every meeting, and I knew the engine would last. My regrets were that I should have attended those early meetings to get more out of the engine. The last meeting of the season was again at Brands hatch and again the championship had come down to a 3 horse race, I made sure I attended this meeting as Dani had to finish the last 4 races in 2nd position the lowest. Unfortunately this year proved not to be ours Dani finished 3 races in 3rd and the last race he won but this left us 1 point shy of winning the championship, I was very emotional and could of cried, I felt so sorry for Danny and the whole family. How ever there was 1 positive thing to come out of this season  there was a MotoGp Academy scout keeping an eye on Danny all season which lead to Danny securing a ride with the Redbull rookies and since this life changing break he has ridden from strength to strength and in 2010 had secured a ride in the last 5 rounds of the FIM 125cc World championship, good luck Danny fo2011 and all the other riders we have supported during the last 15 years (1996-2011).
